Exploring how creators think, feel, and grow.

Let’s explore how we create, and how creating changes us.

A note from Lauren

Hello, I’m Lauren.

I’m interested in how creation happens and how creators make sense of their experiences. Why does some feedback make us want to keep going, while other feedback makes us stop? What are we comparing when we look at someone else’s work? How does being seen change our reasons for creating?

Through Creator Psychology, I want to keep developing an understanding of creators’ inner lives. Everyday creative experiences are the starting point, with psychological ideas and research helping us examine what we notice. I hope each visit offers another way to understand your experience, or a question worth exploring further.

Ori & Pebble offers a way into these questions through stories. Motivation, comparison, and how we see ourselves become situations we can picture and discuss. Take a seat, bring your own experience, and think along with us.
